Blessings Working Together, Inc. (BWT) is a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving pregnant and parenting mothers at risk for homelessness throughout Metro Atlanta. BWT specializes in housing stabilization, resource navigation, economic mobility programming, parenting education, and workforce development initiatives.

 

Our practicum and internship program provides structured, supervised field experience for students pursuing careers in social services, nonprofit leadership, public administration, and community engagement.

Internship Model Overview

BWT internships are structured, professional placements with up to 30-hour weekly commitments available. Interns engage in supervised direct service support, program operations, community outreach, and measurable outcome tracking.

 

All placements include:

• Mandatory orientation

• Background check requirement

• Weekly structured supervision (minimum 1 hour per week)

• Professional development training

• Midterm and final evaluations

• Hybrid schedule (in-office, outreach, and limited remote work)

• Travel within Metro Atlanta

 

Internships may be completed for academic credit or stipend (based on funding availability).

Human Services / Case Management Practicum Intern

 

Position Overview

The Human Services Practicum Intern gains supervised experience in community-based case management support, housing stabilization planning, resource navigation, and structured mentorship programming.

 

This is not a clinical counseling role. Interns operate within a supervised stabilization model and do not provide therapy or independent case management.

Responsibilities

  • Supervised 1:1 goal setting

  • Housing stabilization planning support

  • Track measurable participant outcomes

  • Assist with intake assessments

  • Co-facilitate parenting workshops

  • Support financial literacy sessions

  • Assist with participant surveys

  • Participate in hotel outreach

  • Assist at community resource events

Nonprofit & Business Operations Intern

 

Position Overview

The Operations Intern strengthens BWT’s internal systems, program tracking infrastructure, and measurable reporting processes. This role supports housing stabilization metrics, workforce participation tracking, and nonprofit compliance systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Track attendance and participation metrics

  • Maintain housing and workforce databases

Position Overview

The Marketing Intern supports BWT’s brand visibility, community engagement, and storytelling initiatives. This structured role includes measurable campaign deliverables and nonprofit communications exposure.

  • Develop content calendar

  • Create social media campaigns

All interns are required to:
